These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of mypeopleshouse.com and related online services offered by My Peoples House. By accessing the Site, creating an account, or making a purchase, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.

2.1 About the Site

The Site provides information about My Peoples House, natural hair and loc services, appointment booking access, classes, products, educational resources, community content, and related offerings.

2.2 Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or make a purchase. A parent or legal guardian may create an account and make bookings or purchases for a minor and is responsible for the minor's use of the Site.

2.3 Accounts

  • Provide accurate, current information and keep it updated.

  • Keep your login credentials confidential. You are responsible for activity under your account.

  • Notify us promptly of unauthorized access.

  • We may suspend or close accounts that violate these Terms, involve fraud, or create risk for clients, staff, or the business.

2.4 Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Site for unlawful, fraudulent, harassing, or abusive purposes.

  • Impersonate any person or misrepresent your affiliation.

  • Post content that is false, defamatory, obscene, hateful, or infringes someone else's rights.

  • Interfere with the Site's security or operation, or use bots or scrapers to collect data.

  • Copy, record, or redistribute paid classes or materials.

2.5 Booking

Appointment availability, booking, and related payments are provided through Vagaro. Bookings are subject to our Booking, Cancellation & No-Show Policy (Section 3), the terms shown in the booking flow, and Vagaro's terms.

2.6 Purchases, Pricing, and Errors

Product and class purchases are subject to the prices, descriptions, availability, and policies shown at the time of purchase. Applicable sales tax is added at checkout. We make reasonable efforts to display products accurately, but colors and packaging may vary. If a price or description contains an obvious error, we may correct it and cancel the affected order with a full refund. We may limit quantities or refuse orders that appear fraudulent or for resale.

2.7 Intellectual Property

The My Peoples House name, logo, branding, photographs, graphics, videos, class materials, written content, downloads, and methods presented on the Site are owned by or licensed to My Peoples House and are protected by law. You may view and use Site content for personal, non-commercial purposes only. You may not copy, reproduce, sell, publish, or create derivative works without written permission.

2.8 Educational Content

Classes, videos, and resources provide general hair care education. Results vary. Content is not medical advice and does not replace evaluation by a qualified health professional for scalp, skin, or medical concerns. See the Hair Care & Educational Disclaimer (Section 11).

2.9 User Content

If you submit reviews, comments, photos, or other content, you confirm you have the right to share it and that it is truthful. You give My Peoples House a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display that content on the Site and our social channels in connection with the business. We may remove any content at our discretion. Separate media releases govern promotional use of identifiable client images.

2.10 Third-Party Services

Links and integrations with third parties such as Vagaro, payment processors, and social media are provided for convenience. My Peoples House does not control and is not responsible for third-party terms, content, availability, or privacy practices.

2.11 Disclaimers

The Site and its content are provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, My Peoples House disclaims all warranties not expressly stated, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

2.12 Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, My Peoples House will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Site. Our total liability for any claim related to the Site will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under California law, including liability for fraud, gross negligence, or willful misconduct.

2.13 Indemnification

You agree to defend and hold harmless My Peoples House from claims arising from your misuse of the Site, your content, or your violation of these Terms, to the extent permitted by law.

2.14 Resolving Concerns

If you have a concern, please contact us first. Most issues can be resolved directly. If we cannot resolve a dispute informally within 30 days, either party may pursue available remedies, including small claims court where eligible.

2.15 Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and without limiting any consumer protections that apply to you.

2.16 General

  • If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.

  • Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver.

  • These Terms, together with the policies referenced in them, are the full agreement about use of the Site.

  • We may update these Terms by posting a revised version with a new effective date. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
