Effective Date: September 30, 2026 | Last Updated: September 30, 2026

My Peoples House ("My Peoples House," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices you have when you visit mypeopleshouse.com (the "Site"), create an account, book an appointment, buy products or classes, contact us, sign up for text messages, or otherwise interact with us online or in person.

By using the Site, you acknowledge this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with it, please do not use the Site.

1.1 Information We Collect

Information you give us

  • Contact and account information: name, email address, phone number, mailing and shipping address, username, password, and communication preferences.

  • Purchase information: products or classes purchased, order history, billing and shipping details. Card numbers are processed by our payment providers; we do not store full card numbers on the Site.

  • Booking information: services selected, appointment dates, and booking history. Appointments and related payments are handled through Vagaro and are also subject to Vagaro's privacy policy.

  • Service intake information: hair history, scalp or product sensitivities, and similar details you provide so we can perform services safely. We use this information only to provide your service.

  • Communications: messages, emails, texts, reviews, survey responses, and customer service requests.

  • Media: photos, videos, audio, and testimonials, only when you authorize their use.

  • Minor information: information about a minor client provided by that minor's parent or legal guardian.

Information collected automatically

  • Device and usage information: IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, pages viewed, time on page, links clicked, referring website, and approximate location based on IP address.

  • Cookies and similar technologies: see the Cookie & Tracking Notice (Section 8). When enabled and, where required, consented to, Google Analytics and Meta Pixel may collect information about your activity on the Site.

Information from others

  • Vagaro, payment processors, shipping carriers, and texting platforms may share information with us needed to complete your booking, order, or messages.

  • Social media platforms, if you interact with our pages or tag us.

  • Comply with legal, tax, and accounting obligations.

1.3 How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information for money. We share information only as described here:

  • Service providers who help us run the business, such as website hosting, Vagaro, e-commerce, payment processing, shipping, texting, analytics, advertising, and customer support. They may use information only to perform services for us, except as described in their own policies.

  • Advertising and analytics partners such as Google and Meta, when those tools are enabled and, where required, you have consented. This may be considered "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising under some state laws.

  • Legal and safety reasons: to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, protect rights, safety, and property, or investigate fraud.

  • Business transfers: in connection with a sale, merger, or transfer of all or part of the business.

  • With your direction or consent.

Text messaging data: No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties, except service providers that operate our messaging program.

1.4 Third-Party Tracking and Do Not Track

Third parties such as Google and Meta may collect information about your online activities over time and across different websites when you use our Site, if those tools are enabled. Some browsers send "Do Not Track" signals. Because there is no common standard for these signals, our Site does not currently respond to them. We do honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals as a request to opt out of advertising-related sharing where our tools support it.

1.5 Your Choices

  • Account information: log into your account to review and update it, or contact us to request changes or deletion.

  • Text messages: reply STOP to opt out of promotional texts at any time. Transactional appointment messages may still be sent as needed for your booking.

  • Cookies: use our cookie banner or settings link, your browser settings, and platform tools such as Google's Ad Settings and Meta's Ad Preferences.

  • Media: you may withdraw a media release for future use as described in the release.

1.6 California Privacy Rights

California residents may have additional rights depending on whether a law applies to a business of our size. To the extent applicable, you may request to know, correct, or delete personal information, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights. To make a request, email biancamonique@mypeopleshouse.com with the subject line "Privacy Request." We may need to verify your identity before responding.

We do not disclose personal information to third parties for their own direct marketing purposes.

1.7 Children and Minors

My Peoples House serves minors, but the Site is not designed for children under 13 to submit personal information on their own. Accounts must be created by an adult. Information about minor clients should be provided by a parent or legal guardian. If we learn we have collected personal information from a child under 13 without parent or guardian involvement, we will delete it. Parent or guardian authorization is required before we use identifiable media of a minor.

If you are a California resident under 18 and a registered user, you may ask us to remove content or information you posted on the Site by emailing us. Removal may not ensure complete deletion if the content was shared elsewhere.

1.8 Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the information we hold, including secure payment processors, access limits, and password protection. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a security incident affects your personal information, we will notify you as required by law.

1.9 Data Retention

We keep personal information only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described in this policy, including to provide services, maintain business and tax records, resolve disputes, and meet legal requirements. When no longer needed, information is deleted or de-identified.

1.10 Third-Party Sites

The Site may link to or integrate with third-party services, including Vagaro, payment processors, and social media platforms. We do not control their privacy practices. Please review their policies.

1.11 Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the revised version with a new effective date. For material changes, we will also provide notice on the Site or by email or text where appropriate.
